From the Gulf Region Division’s (GRD) formation in January 2004 through to November 2007, Erinys was contracted to provide a range of specialist security and support services to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) GRD in support of their critical Iraq-wide reconstruction mission. From the beginning of Erinys’ close collaboration with the GRD, the Company provided a whole raft of services and capabilities, which included security project management, the Commanding General’s dedicated Personnel Security Detail, security escort teams for GRD personnel, fixed site guard forces, security cleared anti-terrorism/force protection survey and analytical personnel as well as a fully managed reconstruction security services radio communications capability.
In the successful delivery of this contract Erinys mobilised and deployed in excess of 300 fully trained and equipped security personnel within the required timescales and fully met the stringent US Government Individual Reliability Program compliance requirements.
Notwithstanding the rapidly deteriorating security situation and high threat state that existed over this time period Erinys achieved an outstanding and unmatched performance record, meeting and often exceeding all contract deliverables. Erinys security teams conducted nearly 10,000 security missions (as distinct from administration runs) during which Erinys faced a total of 240 serious incidents with zero GRD personnel killed. No other security company in the service of GRD can match this outstanding operational record, which is the product of Erinys’ culture of uncompromising professional excellence, the dedication of highly trained and motivated operators combined with world-class project management and the continual development of leading edge standard operating procedures, now accepted in Iraq as the security industry benchmark.
